KTGA Kauai Taro Festival Brief Info
Come to Wai'oli Park in Hanalei, Kauai for a day of food, activities, and fun. Saturday, October 28, 2006 10:00am-5:00pm. Admission is a dollar. All admission proceeds go to the Kauai Taro Festival Educational Scholarship Fund. Activities include: Kauai Made Arts & Crafts, Poi Pounding, Education Exhibits, Taro Cooking Contests, Silent Auction, Children's Art Show, Hawaiian Games, Poi-eating Contest, Country Store and Ono Food Booths. The Kauai Taro Festival is a biennial event sponsored by the Kauai Taro Growers Assocation. This Festival will also feature a special cooking demonstration by the winners of the Taste of Taro Events, sponsored by the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
