WHAT:
Kauai Conservation Conference “Community-Based Conservation”

MISSION:
The mission of the Kaua‘i Conservation Conference, a project of the Garden Island Resource Conservation & Development, is to strengthen the conservation network on the island of Kaua‘i. It offers a venue to facilitate cooperative projects and partnerships, exchange helpful information and ideas to enhance the
effectiveness of our work, and raise awareness in the community about the importance of conservation on Kaua‘i.

KCC Performing Arts Center, in Puhi

April 11th & 12th 2008

Friday April 11
Day conference with keynote speakers, panels, breakout
discussions, and poster sessions

Saturday April 12
Community events and evening presentations featuring:
Nainoa Thompson, Polynesian Voyaging Society
Dr. Wade Davis, National Geographic Society
