Music Concert Postcards

Rasta Rafiki at the Boulevard Cafe, October 6, 1995

This was the first Rooney show at the Boulevard Cafe. Rasta Rafiki had just cut their first CD and things were looking up. This venue was a little larger and trendier than the Keg Room, but I always thought the Keg Room had more of a taste of community and in its way was hipper.

The Boulevard owners, Tom Hodges and Mike Lamb did try. For the Rasta Rafiki show they offered Jamaican Rum specials and had stocked the jukebox with Donna the Buffalo, Rusted Root and the Heartbeats.
