Ice melting off our roof on a late January afternoon
The
images in this article are from a walk my
wife, Linda, and I took near our home in Panama, New York
on Saturday, January 29th. We've had a lot of snow in the
last few weeks, but that's normal for here. We watch in
amusement as places like Little Rock, Arkansas or
Nashville, Tenessee are brought to their knees by a few
inches of snow.
Our old fieldstone well. Glad we have indoor plumbing now.
The remains of a maple tree that was too close to the
house.
A old cast iron pig scalding cauldron in our fire
circle
A snow "brain" balancing in a tree.
Snow clinging to a branch for dear life.
The turn towards home and a warm dinner at sunset.
