Main Street Tombstones
Old grave stones reach up,
marking the journey from
Mother Earth to Father Sky.

We have three generations of ancestors buried in Panama Union Cemetery. The watershed passes through the grounds. In back are hay fields, to the east is a horse pasture. A quiet place, except on Memorial Day when the community gathers to hear veterans speak and the High School Band play. This image was taken looking west in the cemetery, which is on east Main Street (Route 474) in Panama, in the town of Harmony.
