Dean Road Hay Bales

 Draft horses rest in the shade,

while the hay machine

sits hot and rusty

in the field.

 

This antiquated piece of farm equipment looks like a remnant of the past, but is actually still in use. It is not uncommon in this county to still see the Amish using horse drawn farm equipment, working fields as they were worked over a hundred years ago. We may be the last generation to see this. The farm is on Dean Road, between Barnes and Walker Roads in the town of Chautauqua.
