This postcard was an announcement for a "Record Release Party"
(actually a CD release) at The Casino, in Bemus Point, NY. This venue
is an old wood frame restaurant-bar with a dance hall upstairs that's
situated right on the water next to the Bemus Point ferry landing.
This show was $5 and well attended, filling the big hardwood dance
floor.
The Casino is under another management, but you can still tie your boat up on the porch and go in and grab a beer and some volcanic Buffalo wings. In the 30's and 40's The Casino was at the height of it's popularity. Back then it offered the likes of Benny Goodman and the best of the Big Band shows as they worked their way across the northeast manufacturing cities like Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Buffalo.
