One of two locations from which Lake Erie can be seen from the Chautauqua Lake watershed boundary. For many visitors driving north, this is the first view of the Great Lake. We took this picture on an August morning on the west side of Portage Road between Beaujean and Parker Roads northwest of Mayville in the town of Chautauqua.
