Parker Road Maple Bank

 The road couldn't wait

to slice the embankment,

startling the old maples.

 

The big old shade trees lining the road here brought back childhood memories of rides through the country to Grandma's house. It is rare now to see tree lined roads. Most have been lost in the process of widening roads. Notice that one of the old maples has died and only its stump and a young sapling offspring remain. This picturesque view is on Parker Road, between Portage and Plank Roads in the town of Chautauqua.
